As we have all continued to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic together, we are truly looking forward to brighter days ahead, when we are able to welcome you back to your home away from home. As we prepare for our reopening, we wanted to assure you that we have implemented even greater standards to all aspects of our operations in order to do what we love most and safely welcome you back, our distinguished guests and dear friends.
We promise to continue to deliver the unique, luxury experience that is Hotel Matilda. We are planning to tailor our offerings to fit your needs and ensure that we deliver the highest standards of care.
In order to embrace and uphold the highest criteria in accordance with government directives, Hotel Matilda has a dedicated Health Group, who examines all risk assessments, standards of practice and equipment to ensure staff and guest safety.
OUR HYGIENE PARTNER
For many years, we have partnered with Sepguardado, a Mexican company who delivers excellent hygiene solutions and has specific expertise in hospitality. We will continue to do so.
A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR GUESTS
Cleaning throughout the hotel and restaurants will be even more frequent and thorough with an emphasis on high touch point areas, including the hotel entrance, restrooms, door handles, lift buttons, countertops and railings. Sanitizer and disposable masks will be available at the front desk. Contactless check-in will also be available if required.
- The frequency of room cleaning will be tailored to guest’s individual movements and requirements. Bed linens, towels and guest laundry will be washed in accordance with federal guidelines at our own laundry facility.
- Some room amenities will be reduced in order to maintain social distancing, but all services will still be available upon request. Room keys will be sanitized frequently and contactless hand sanitizers will be placed in all public spaces. Guest luggage will be sanitized following its handling by our team.
- In anticipation of individual guests’ preferences, our housekeeping staff will not enter a guest room unless specifically requested.
- We will avoid back-to-back usage of rooms to allow for deeper sanitation practices and changing of pillow protectors and mattress pads between each guest.
- The hotel gym will be available for guests exclusively. It must be booked in advance and will be fully sanitized and cleaned after each session.
- Strict protocols are in place for all staff in our kitchens, restaurants, room service, bar and private event spaces. All staff will wash and sanitize their hands each time they serve or touch food.
- There will be regular cleaning of all air filters and air conditioning systems.
LOOKING AFTER OUR TEAM
We are doing everything that we can to ensure our valued hotel team is taking every precaution to guarantee a safe working environment.
- They will be required to take increased, frequent breaks to wash and sanitize their hands and will be provided with disposable masks, which will be changed during shifts.
- Temperature checks will be taken from team members twice a day and actions taken accordingly. Medical teams and doctors are on standby should a guest or staff member be detected with a positive sign of COVID-19. Detailed hotel training is in place in case of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis where a guest or team member requires quarantine.
- Detailed cleaning Standards of Practice and checklists in all areas will be followed and closely monitored.
- There will be a strictly timed procedure for deliveries and staff will be protected with the correct Personal Protection Equipment. All deliveries will be decanted and sterilized prior to use. All suppliers are continuously vetted to ensure operating procedures and standards are in accordance with our own.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Guests will be advised and encouraged to practice distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet from individuals and groups of people that they are not travelling with. Where possible, we will introduce a one-way guest flow.
- Our restaurants will have an updated seating plan so that guests can dine at a safe distance from others. All family style and buffet dining experiences will be discontinued.
- We will manage the staff and guest lifts by limiting occupancy to guests from the same party. We will ensure social distancing for those waiting for lifts.
